Bringing Life, to Life.

Marsha Mills believes that an artist need not interpret a subject, but rather portray the subject as it is, accurately, and with attention to the tiniest detail. This more literal style has been met with acclaim from both artists and critics. Her clients are in complete agreement. Marsha Mills’ dry-brush watercolor paintings capture the individuality of her subjects with a degree of accuracy that is unsurpassed in the world of watercolor portraiture.

Twenty-five years of experience as a commissioned fine-artist is clearly evident in each Marsha Mills painting. Her pursuits in design and painting have always lead to success, accolade, and admiration in many  fields. She has print editions and commissioned pieces in the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, the Temple University Museum in Rome, Italy, and in galleries from Nova Scotia to Florida.

In her eyes, her most precious pieces hang in private collections in homes throughout the country. For this reason, she has re-dedicated her talents to the less glamorous but infinitely more rewarding world of commissioned portraiture.

“There is great joy in seeing a family member lay eyes on my painting of their loved one and be unable to hold back the tears…that is why I prefer to sell one piece to those who will treasure it than to sell thousands of prints to be hung in the most impersonal way and sadly be someday forgotten.”         -Marsha Mills
